Millstone Day Nursery is a family run setting, which offers a unique service tailored to meet the individual needs of both parents and children. Throughout the years, we have created a warm, welcoming, cheerful and safe environment, offering a variety of age appropriate stimulating activities.
As a nursery, we believe we provide a high standard of care and supervision for each child in an attractive, home from home environment divided over three floors. Your child can develop their own individual personality and reach their full potential throughout their time with us, whilst enjoying the company of other children.
Children develop in the context of relationships and the environment around them. This is unique to each family and reflects individual communities and cultures.
Development Matters in the Early Years foundation stage 2012
Being Ofsted registered, we are inspected regularly to ensure that we adhere to the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), setting the standards for learning and development from birth to five years. By following this framework, it allows us to make individual observations, analyse our findings and look at what it is telling us about the child before linking this into our daily plans to support each child’s learning and development. In doing this it helps all children in our care to work towards/achieve the early learning goals as they reach school age.
In addition to the nursery care we offer, we have further facilities for children of school age. Our After school care and Holiday care service is second to none. With our usual high standards of care provided, we have rooms designed to suit the needs of older children, up to and including the age of eleven years.
We have a fleet of seven minibuses which enables us to drop off and collect children from several schools across Leicestershire. Our Holiday Care gives a mix of educational and recreational activities to keep your child interested at all times, including various external trips.
